The FAQ

Do you Travel?

The included location in all sessions is Simcoe County as this is my “home base”. Should you request a location that falls outside the lines, a .70/km fee will be added to your Invoice for ONE way of travel. I have no limit to the amount of travel, but like to keep in mind what is a good fit for my schedule, we can discuss more at booking time!

Whats your turn around time?

Turn around time varies as the busiest season picks up and drops, however for sessions I guarantee a 3 week turn around and weddings are 9-12 weeks.

How do we book you?

The best way to book a session is by filling out an Inquiry on my website or sending a direct email to hellorbowman@gmail.com. If you have an idea for date and location of session, please include it there! If not, no problem at all. We will work together to find a time that best suits your family through email, or we can hop on a call to chat!

How far out do you book?

We are currently booking 2023/2024 sessions and 2023/2024 weddings.

Why choose me?

This is by far my favourite question. I truly feel my passion and drive for photography shows in my work. I strive to make sure every session screams YOU. Im here to capture you as you are. Therefore during our planning process, we will figure out together how we can personalize your session. I feel this is something I offer that adds more value to your session.

What should we wear?

Before your session, I will provide you with a styling guide to peek at with inspiration.

Do you have a studio?

No, I do not have my own studio as I am an on-location photographer which could include places like a forest, beach, your home, a walking trail, your favourite ice cream parlour - the list goes on! I would be happy to recommend studios in the area and meet for photos should this be more up your alley.

Do you offer raw/unedited images?

Part of the experience of hiring a professional is that you’re getting the best of the best for your photos. Upon sending an Inquiry, you’ll receive a Proposal that has an outline of the minimum number of photos you’ll receive (I sometimes tend to go overboard here!), and are all edited with care. I have put a lot of thought into what I’d like to receive as a customer, and believe my albums speak for themselves.

What time is golden hour, and why is it suggested for outdoor photos?

Golden hour is the last hour before sunset and the first hour before sunrise, often referred to as the magic hour by photographers! I recommend golden hour for a wide variety of sessions as it allows for perfect lighting and stunning photos. Golden hour changes throughout the year, and can be anywhere from 4:30-7:30pm based on the season we are in.
